Carolina Beach Fishing Charters

Carolina Beach, NC Fishing ChartersBig Spring Flattie

There are many reasons Carolina Beach is some of the best fishing in North Carolina; however, I attribute the great fishing on our Carolina Beach Fishing Charters due to the influence of the Cape Fear River. The combination of the Cape Fear River estuary providing endless shrimp, baitfish and crabs for forage with the saltwater gamefish influence from the ocean makes for many epic fishing days on the Cape Fear River, Snows Cut and Carolina Beach.   The good thing about the Caper Fear River Fishery is that its connected to the Carolina Beach Fishery by the manmade navigation channel dubbed Snows Cut. This is the legendary passage where Monster Flounder can be caught on a regular basis.  Capt. Trev is an expert in the Carolina Flounder fishery and will certainly give you the best chance to bring home one of these monsters.  The turbidity of the water along with the color and salinity found at Carolina Beach separates it from other beaches providing a diverse array of fish species available to target.  Carolina Beach is fished slightly different than Wrightsville Beach and Topsail Beach because of this and typically fish a lot of live bait fishing charters.

Carolina Beach Inshore Fishing ChartersCarolina Beach Fishing Charters

Inshore Fishing is great in Carolina Beach as there are many options to choose from.   Typically, we fish closer to the inlet and waterway creeks when we are fishing for Red Drum and Black Drum.  When we target flounder in Carolina Beach, we like to fish the Cape Fear River using Snows Cut to access the docks and islands in the river.

Nearshore & Offshore Fishing Charters in Carolina Beach

Nearshore and offshore fishing Carolina Beach offers great opportunities to fish reefs and wreck for Flounder, Atlantic Bonito, Sharks, Seabass, Triggerfish, Mackerel and many other bottom fish.  You can choose to troll for pelagic fish (mackerel, mahi, etc) or bottom fish for grouper, snapper and sea bass.

Safely Getting OffshoreCarolina Beach Fishing Charters

Due to the ever-shifting Carolina Beach Inlet, we typically make the short run up to Wrightsville Beach and utilize the protection of the Wrightsville Beach Jetty to make our way offshore! As always, our nearshore fishing charters are dependent on the weather, season and seas.
