There are many reasons Carolina Beach is some of the best fishing in North Carolina; however, I attribute the great fishing on our Carolina Beach Fishing Charters due to the influence of the Cape Fear River. The combination of the Cape Fear River estuary providing endless shrimp, baitfish and crabs for forage with the saltwater gamefish influence from the ocean makes for many epic fishing days on the Cape Fear River, Snows Cut and Carolina Beach. The good thing about the Caper Fear River Fishery is that its connected to the Carolina Beach Fishery by the manmade navigation channel dubbed Snows Cut. This is the legendary passage where Monster Flounder can be caught on a regular basis. Capt. Trev is an expert in the Carolina Flounder fishery and will certainly give you the best chance to bring home one of these monsters. The turbidity of the water along with the color and salinity found at Carolina Beach separates it from other beaches providing a diverse array of fish species available to target. Carolina Beach is fished slightly different than Wrightsville Beach and Topsail Beach because of this and typically fish a lot of live bait fishing charters.
Inshore Fishing Carolina Beach has seemingly endless fishing options for you to choose from as we fish the Intracoastal Waterway, Carolina Beach Inlet, Docks around the Boat Basin, Snows Cut and the Cape Fear River. Fishing in Carolina Beach you can expect to catch Flounder, Red Drum, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Trout, Croaker, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish and the kids favorite… Sharks. With all of these options, Carolina Beach (just like the Wrightsville Beach Topsail Beach fishery) makes for an incredibly Fun Family Fishery where we can always find the fish and have fun doing it! Capt. Trev guarantees you do not get seasick on any of the Inshore Fishing Charters.
Nearshore & Offshore Fishing Charters in Carolina Beach
Our Nearshore and Offshore Fishing Charters in Carolina Beach are there are numerous shipwrecks, ledges and artificial reefs teaming with fish just a few miles off the coast. Once we are off shore and depending on the seas and what you want to do, we can fish for King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Mahi Mahi and Sailfish, or we can bottom fish for Grouper, Black Sea Bass, Snapper, Cobia, Amberjacks and Flounder on the many Ship Wrecks and Ledges within the 3-18 mile range. We like to provide the complete Carolina Beach charter fishing experience by fishing our “Combo Fishing Trips”. On our combo fishing trips we both troll, light-line, jig and bottom fish (combo trips are a fishing charter favorite!)
Due to the ever-shifting Carolina Beach Inlet, we typically make the short run up to Wrightsville Beach and utilize the protection of the Wrightsville Beach Jetty to make our way offshore! As always, our nearshore fishing charters are dependent on the weather, season and seas.
